You lucky bugger! There is nothing i love more than a hot day followed by a violent thunderstorm. I get in my car drive to the cliffs and watch the thunderbolts and lightning coming in or out over the channel. My car once got hit by a bolt of lightening. I think it chose my car cos i was tuned into some french radio channel while they were playing fade to grey by visage.
I have never yet got a snap shot of lightening.

Indeed. Lightning is a horrible francophobe. It prefers the belgians.

Me too, I'll admit that's something I like about summer, the fab thunderstorms.

I've been hit by lightening whilst in the car too.

You wonder why you've survived till you learn all about Faraday Cages.

I'm sure one of our resident scientists will explain.

Hmph. I object to that singularity.

Can't think for a moment what you could possibly mean.

Mid-to-high 30s is when it gets really unbearable and usually over Christmas here there's a week or two when it's in the low 40s. That is the devil's work, especially when the power goes off due to excess demand and the trains stop working. Anything below about 20 and it's still jumper-wearing weather.

Oh now, mid to high 30's you say? Sounds somewhat regular and here's me thinking Melbourne wouldn't kill me if I was there at the wrong time of year.

I still stand by my limits though, inversely I can manage quite well down to -15.
