can't you just navigate to word inside program files and open winword.exe then open the file from there?

if not double click the filename, and navigate to winword through there.

this isn't exactly difficult, although you're hardly making things clear by being so vague in your posts

In my documents folder I cannot open word documents it does nothing. I try right clicking and 'open with' but for some reason MS Word isnt in this list although it is installed on my computer.

yes you've said that already. if you click the "choose default program" option at the bottom of the right click list it'll bring up another window. if word is not listed in the bottom half of that panel then click browse and navigate to c:\program files\microsoft office\office12\winword.exe and double click it.

if it isn't there, its not installed.

Excuse me - what is the problem in asking for help? Do you like to feel superior or something?

Well, I know you don't realise how it feels to be superior to anything but believe me, better than the sex you may never have. Also, if you're coming back from fairly detailed help with...

That's why you get snarky comments. Piss off, you're getting annoying seeing as you can't follow simple instructions.

TBH as soon as I saw his username I knew he was trouble. It's people with regional news programmes as their handle that seem to be amongst the most annoying.
