Back in '78, I went into WHSmith Records in town to buy Jean Michel Jarre's Oxygene - only for young, naive me to walk out with Sweet's Love is Like Oxygen - a song which will personally haunt me for the rest of my life because of the mistake.

My first memory of buying record wasn't actually for me. I was dragged from bed one morning, handed some cash and a note with instructions to purchase an LP. I did as I was told, then cycled to where my sister worked and told her I had done it - she was pleased! I was left bemused as to why she would want to spend her money on something possibly related to crime prevention.
So to answer the question:
"Reggatta de Blanc" - The Police

Mine was Chumbawumba - Tubthumping, too.
I was young and foolish. May Bowie have mercy on my soul.
