Got moaned at today by a vegetarian client for rustling up a bacon sarnie. Most of my clients are pushing for me to apply for a license to serve food except for one. There's always one isn't there.

I bit my tongue because i know 'cos a couple of vege friends told me that the smell of bacon makes them regret giving up meat.
Not to mention one or 2 other oneliners.

Anyhoo a bit of market research how much would you pay for a haircut with a coffee and bacon Sanie while you wait?


I've got the catchy ad in my head.' A bacon& hair sarnie while you wait.' Mmm appetising.

I'd love the idea of being able to have a coffee and a bite to eat while having my hair cut. However, as I had my hair cut very short yesterday, I noticed that little bits of hair get everywhere! Not practical to eat and have hair cut at the same time.

It is a nice idea isn't it, but i just can't see it working. The hair gets every where. You do get used to food and drink laced with hair cuttings if you're in the biz.

And that my friends is the secret to staying slim, that and being on your feet allday.

I find those sheets they put over your back to stop hair getting on you pretty pointless. I still have heaps of hair down my back annoying the hell out of me after my annual haircut.

With me you get a tissue in your collar to prevent the hairs working getting into the fibres of your collars, a gown and neck collar. Most say i'm the only barber who never gets hair down their back. Yet others say they still itch like hell. Alot of the time its psychological. You want to try being me at the end of the day. No matter how much i brush myself off, i am still covered in hair.
If i was ever found murdered in a ditch on a country lane, forensics would have a real headache with DNA found on me.

Personally I always itch after a haircut, so I always dash home and have a shower. I agree that alot of the time it's psychological because my collar is rubbing against the very short hair which had been shaved at the back of my neck.

I always feel better after a shower though!
