We must be bloody close, if not over, if you count all the video and DVD tuners, PC card, portables stuck away on shelves and the like, as well as the mainstream tellys around the house.

I assume each Freeview box and each satellite receiver counts too.

Actually I don't see that on the website, perhaps the rules have changed a bit - guesthouses can have up to 15 sets on one licence.

Well it's the age-old argument of whether you consider 9 commercial-free TV channels, a dozen or so national radio stations, a shedload of regional radio stations, ad-free website and interactive services etc, for about £11 per month to be good value.

Personally I do.

Same here, it's very good for the money and you get nothing else like it in the rest of the World, and it allows the BBC to do things that other broadcasters don't.

Yes but you're only really paying for the TV channels, some of which are very 'niche' (e.g. CBeebies). Radio stations, online services etc. etc. are all available for free.

But they're still funded by the licence fee, so you are paying for them.
