This works fine on my laptop but when I try and use it on my desktop it doesn't appear to be making any effor to display any of the channels at all. Any ideas?

Did you unblock your firewall to allow it through?

Yup, firewall has got it in its safe list. Not a router blocking port issue as both machines use the same wireless router.
