The other lad's parents had a very low profile, I even think the father of the other child died sometime ago anyway.
Yes Jonathan Ball's father died last year, and wasn't discovered for some time -- he was a very lonely man in the end, not really having the support he needed. I think he had to remove all the toys he put on his son's grave due to these H&S rules about graveyards that are upsetting everyone at the moment.

Last time I saw Colin Parry, was when he popped up the other week to have an opinion on the Robert McCartney business.

I wonder if victims' relatives get some sort of media representation in such cases, where they want to remain active campaigners? Seems a bit crude to have it, but it's often clearly needed.

Talking of people who are a pain, of the original kind, and seem to pop up on EVERYTHING, there's that Edmund Somethingorother from the RAC who seems to ALWAYS be on television when a transport comment is required.

That's the amazing Edmund King!

I feel like he's my uncle or something with all that advice he's given me over the years. I can't imagine many people would go out for a drink with him unless they wanted a lecture on the importance of driving slowly in snow, obeying temporary speed limits during roadworks, why speed cameras........

Don't forget Keith Betton from ABTA - always a Bank Holiday favourite for every TV news programme and radio station.
