The opposition at the time of the 1992 election became unelectable following 'The Sheffield Rally' - Google it. It showed them to be a rabid collection of power crazed individuals rather than an alternative government, and the Country decided to reject the alternative and stay with John Major.

He's got the sense not to be so stupid.barcode wrote:that means it could happen with Mr DC.

Or they just need Labour voters to vote for other parties like the Greens, UKIP and Lib Dems, thereby deminishing Labour's vote whilst the Conservative vote remains more or less the same. Then they win.barcode wrote:For the tories to win this election out right there need swing of 6.9% there NEVER done this, over past what at least 60years. ( we could push it to 100 years!)
Labour's vote fell by 6.9% in the European elections but the Tories only went up by 1%.
once again it just show that most people are still on the fence about the Tories,Chie wrote:Or they just need Labour voters to vote for other parties like the Greens, UKIP and Lib Dems, thereby deminishing Labour's vote whilst the Conservative vote remains more or less the same. I don't think most people are, however much you'd like them to bebarcode wrote:once again it just show that most people are still on the fence about the Tories,

You can only put one X on the ballot paper after all, so sitting on the fence isn't an option where politics is concerned.
this might be good for the people then, as it might make the Tories and labour and everyone else have a a scrum to get votes and make alot of people to come out and vote. 60% is not good.
