I was an early adaptor of GMail, getting an account in 2004 when I finally moved away from a traditional email client and my old @softhome.net address.
As many will know, GMail was forced to rebrand as Google Mail in the UK in late 2005 due to a trademark dispute (although thankfully I've been able to retain my @gmail.com address)
A few days ago, after almost 4 years, Google Mail suddenly reverted back to GMail. I did wonder if it was a mistake, but this was 'endorsed' by a modification to the Wikipedia entry for GMail, stating that the trademark dispute had been resolved, GMail was back and the issuing of UK-based @gmail.com addresses would resume).
Today however, the Google Mail logo has returned and the Wikipedia entry has gone back to the way it was before, simply stating that GMail was forced to rebrand in October 2005.
Anyone know what's happening here?
GMail > Google Mail > GMail (> Google Mail?)
I know they've had some technical problems recently, perhaps it was something to do with that?
