i thought we best populate a thread with our favourite wholesome takeaway choices.

in the lobster household friday night is takeaway night. so this evening from my favourite takeaway (chilli masters) i got the following:

Image

the "meal" you see above comprises: bombay aloo, chicken tikka naan and a popular brand of lager.

it is really very, very nice. the bombay aloo is amongst the nicest i've ever tasted... simply divine.

i had a minimilk for desert.

so, what nutritional delights do you ingest on your 'takeway night'?

Tonight turned into an impromtu takeaway night on the way back from the boozer. We had sausage and chips, and I had sweetnsour sauce as an extra. Don't balk, it's nice.

Sadly by the time I realised this thread was here, the missus had eaten hers and mine was sorta half-done, and looked a bit gross.

In Overton, we've got 2 Indian takeaways, 1 Chinese, and 1 Kebab shop, and they're all awful. I had a Sweet and Sour Chicken from my local's Thai restaurant a few moments ago, and I bloody loved it.

Have lots of Indians to choose from and quite a few Chinese takeaways too, plus a Thai.

Standard order is (for me, anyway) either Onion Bhaji or Bhuna Chicken on Puree to start (occasionally), then if dry, Tandoori Chicken, if wet and healthy, Lamb Rogan Josh, and if wet and impulsive, Chicken Malayan/Kashmiri.

Try to limit it now as I'm becoming the size of a house again and undoing the loss of a stone and a half :(

Also, congratulations Lobster on your use of "comprises". If I see one more use of "comprises of" I'll shoot the perpetrator - similarly, since when did it become acceptable to say "somewhat of"???

Hmm usually a 4-in-one. The delights of a student lifestyle. This healthy dish consists of Rice, Curry, Chips and Beef/Chicken, it sounds disgusting, it looks disgusting but its surprisingly nice. I live in Galway so its pretty handy for delivery, costs about €6 all together with free Prawn Crackers.

One thing I just can't eat is anything in blackbean sauce, onions are the work of the devil to me.

I really like the depth of field you've used there. Was that a photoshop filter or one if those tilty lenses I've been hearing about?

The best I can come up with is this, which I am thoroughly enjoying

And I can tell you it was made by her.

That's the most tragic name drop I have done. To date.

yummy yummy, i am very much in the mood for something sweet, might have to get the emergency muffin out now.

the depth of field effect was done in camera - i think the aperture was set to f1.8
