Right, following the successful test run of MetroChat 2.0 the other day I shall open it up for those not wishing to use the TVF Eurovision chat. I won't be around but if you do evil then you WILL be punished retrospectively.

 If you're prompted for a username and password, it's the same as you metropol one
 Things are logged by Maggie. We WILL find out if you've been naughty when a mod isn't present
 The yellow and green ball on the top right indicates if you're fetching data from the server. If it stays yellow then you've got a connection problem. This will be accompanied by big chunks of chat and big lags. It's almost certainly your connection that's shit, not the chat. Completely restarting your browser / PC / router has been shown to help this if it gets annoying.
 Random chat mods may be appointed if things get hectic, but don't go asking to be made one.
 WHAT HAPPENS IN THE CHAT ROOM STAYS IN THE CHAT ROOM. The last thing we want is petty real-time disputes clogging up the forum.

Do post any technical issues you're having and if I'm about I'll try and see to it. I'm posting early today so we can iron out any kinks before I tootle off for the evening.

Trah.

tsk, it's far too camp a skin to use normally (although I love how the pink PM notification looks on here). Didn't you want to keep the metropol 1 skin too? Fool.

Well I think that went rather well last night, I think we got the chatroom software perfected since our test run the other night and it ran far more smoothly with very few of those annoyin "connection error" notes.

Btw was it just me who had real trouble trying to get into the other place's chatroom last night? I constantly was getting firefox error notices saying "the document contained no data" which was frustrating as I wanted to see Tumble Tower's insights.

"I like how [Graham Norton] pointed out when the UK got points" was my particular favourite. Quite innovative presenting there from Graham, something Terry never did.

And of course thanks to Kirkstall Road's finest Maggie Mash for once again showing she is not simply the greatest TV announcer in history but the best chatroom host there is. We all had fun. I promise.
