It's for Isonstine to decide.
i still haven't got over the scrapping of crosscountry on-board shops (and therefore hot sandwiches). service is now reduced to a trolley, much the same as london midland, however the prices are still higher!Isonstine wrote:Wonderful! Fantastic! Brilliant!
This one is particularly close to my heart, but I really cannot better what you've said so I won't even try.
All I will say though is that you've made my day by saying you've never had any major problems with CrossCountry. God bless you.
You're used to people quietly gossiping about you anyway, so i don't suppose that bothered youtoo much.cdd wrote:In honour of this thread I have decided to ask some old ladies who were loudly gossipping in the Quiet Carriage to please be quiet. Enjoyably they immediately shut up, followed by quiet gossipping about me!
I have to agree however CrossCountry manage to keep the food at an edible level whereas London Midland would be better off not bothering.tvmercia wrote:service is now reduced to a trolley, much the same as london midland, however the prices are still higher!
sorry lorna but I've been sniggering at that for about 5 mins now. As revenge I'll let you have a good cackle about me breaking my wrist when I ran to ethusiastically tell my friend that I'd passed my driving test, and therefore was unable to drive for a fortnight.Lorns wrote:I haven't been on a train since i accidently fell out of one of those old British Rail type. I fell off the platform at a place called Berkswell and broke my wrist, I got myself up to find towering above me 2 police officers and Network Rail security and they tried to give me a fine. They said a max. fine of £8,000 and/or a custodial sentence, they wouldn't let me say I had fallen off, onto the track. In the end the police had said there lecture and I said I fell off and they just said "Oh" and then they called me an ambulance, because my wrist was swollen.Hymagumba wrote:sorry lorna but I've been sniggering at that for about 5 mins now. I was too busy talking to notice I was stepping backwards until it was too late. The last word I said before falling was "Shit".Sput wrote:Sorry, but I have to ask: how do you fall off a platform? Is it not the single strongest thing to be wary of when you're at a station?
