Oh I see what you mean. Yes that's pointless isn't it. Well noticed Ninski!

Hm, but not everyone will know to hover over an image to know if a bigger one lurks under a click, hence why I suggested some form of visual tag to indicate that an image's true bigness is just a click away. It's not retroactive also, is it? It considers some of my much too big to not be thumbnailed images to not be thumbnailable and so treats them as the subclass and links to them instead. Just to note images are no longer linked in the URL under my own username and seeing as the new thumbnail trickery screws with original filenames it kinda kills the whole traceable image thing you and Hyma were tootling about before.

As for retroactiveness, I COULD write a script that goes through all the existing files but....I...probably...won't. I really don't want to pollute the images with thumbnail indicators but perhaps I could strap a bit on the bottom like imageshack does.

The thumbnails use the horrid filenames, yes, and maybe I'll update that later but it's a large ballache. Anyway, the main file still has a fab name - I just didn't use it in that example.

I'll hope so, I like to make sure I'm the single voice of harsh criticisms for your glaring oversights and sloppy, sloppy code. I don't think going retroactive would work, sounds like a lot of processor time for the server and given it is shared...

I think something subtle like that which what Imageshack do (hm, deja vu) would work nicely. The whole making the thumbies have proper filenames is a big issue, I know it's a hassle but it's worth it even if all it has to do is slap _tb to the end of any given filename or even generate and save them using the same filename in a user's ~/.thumb/ subdirectory.

Hrm, username/thumbs/samefilename would be an easy way to do it...

Yes, yes it would. Less ballache, no?

Another day, another hole found! If you've uploaded anything with a filename containing an exclamation mark then they won't work unless hidden. From now on, it'll remove exclamation marks from anything uploaded.

NEW FEATURE: View all uploaded files at http://up.metropol247.co.uk/list/
I'll add a link to the uploader itself in a bit.

Yes, hello! Me again! One more new update, not a feature as such but a bit of a safety net...

UNDELETE. Things are now immediately moved to a recycle bin type thing (not viewable in any way) instead of being deleted. If you realise you've made a horrible mistake then you'll have until midday on the next Sunday before it's deleted forever and properly (assuming my cron task is correct). Now, it's not a feature that's built into the uploader so you'll have to contact me or a mod in order to have a file restored but it can be done. Just don't go making a habit of it :P

Taraaa.
