I have work in my Gmail account I need to access, but can't, so I'm just sitting around wasting time and hopelessly refreshing Gmail.

How infuriating.
This question came up earlier in the office too - so its good to know its not just us.

It's back now. Only a moment after my post!

It seems Metropol has friends in high places :)

This may be me [inevitably I have probably done something], but is google behaving differently for anyone this afternoon? I don't recall changing any settings, but now, clicking on a result opens that site in a new tab in firefox -- which I can't seem to change.

Also if I search for something which contains inverted commas, it no longer appears in the search bar. Although I don't suppose that's much of a problem as the results still relate to what I searched for.

A cynic might suggest that they've introduced a "feature" which buggers you up unless you're running Chrome!

However, serious answer, I've not noticed anything unpleasant in IE8.

Are you well, by the way, Draig? Long time no speak.

Well that settles it, now I know I've done something -- I have the same issue with IE8.

Besides this, I am well, Mr Harvey -- it's been an altogether tranquil day so far. I hope the inclement weather isn't spoiling your bank holiday too much. Mind you I'm certain we have another one in a few weeks' time.

EDIT: Oh dear, now I've lost the cached results option
