I understand that Clinton Cards are looking to reduce there store count. The group have also announced plans to dispose of 20 Birthdays stores.Hymagumba wrote:Topshop, being part of arcadia, should be safe. Their stores are always still busy with those who have realised that primark stuff is utter shite that falls apart in seconds.
Personally, I suspect Clinton Cards and/or birthdays might go. they're both useless shops.
Who's for the chop?
All down to Woolworths going belly up apparently. I guess Entertainment UK were their main suppliers.Sput wrote:Fuck! Zavvi just went into admin. My gifts had damn well better be liked!
That is how it seems, oh well but I doubt that if it was still owned by Virgin that it'd have stayed afloat any better. Who else on the chopping board for the end of the year? The sweepstakes board in the Secret Forum has a few spots open for early January.
I don't believe that DSG will go, they might just end up downsizing slightly, and maybe kill off some stores in places that have a Currys, Currys Digital and a PC World. I think that we are more likely to see the loss of Comet, as it's owner (Kesa) has seen a massive profits slide, and has been selling off some of its businesses on the continent.
