We've all seen it where the "available balance" disagrees with the "account balance" which is often due to a debit card transaction not processed or a cheque that hasn't cleared. But for around the last 10 days I had around a £5 difference in opinion between these figures.
Now in these crunchy times, I'm more of a Microsoft Money nut than ever, taking down every transaction so I know exactly where my money is going so I knew it wasn't something that hadn't been processed or anything like that. The strange thing is over the last few days the difference has slowly been going down and is now down to exactly £1.
I imagine it's just one of those things that you will only notice when you look closely at your finances, but still very odd. I've spoken to many other people who've had the same thing occur and the "problem" corrects itself a few days later. But you know, if Lloyds TSB took £5 from every customer account, that's a lot of betting against the pound you could do!
