Luckily still living at home, the folks pay for the Virgin, but I pay for the Broadband and the box in my room, anyway, the STB broke the other week so whilst I had to wait a weekend until they replaced it I was left with only Freeview, and to be honest I wouldn't pay for half the stuff out there. I give UK Gold a look in, the music channels are fine, and it's nice to have Setanta for the football, but other than that I really don't think it's worth the money, especially when alot of it is just repeats. I find most of decent programming spurned out these days is usually on Freeview, ie on the BBC, ITV, C4 and Five channels.
We used to have Sky Sports and Sky Movies til a few months ago and found they weren't really worth the money either, especially the Movies as when Sky rebranded the channels sometime back the amount of Movies on offer I think went down, and the repeat rate went up. But saying that I usually watch DVD's, they're so cheap now, especially some of the newer ones. Film4 is good for free too.
I very rarely get chance to flick through Sky (no one I know has it!) and even when I do, the choice on offer isn't great, just loads and loads of tripe.

Haven't had sky for a few years now and i don't miss it. For what i watch on tv freeview suits my needs and i save about £300 a year. YAY!
I found Sky to be all adverts and all repeats, bit like freeview but cheaper.
