Router likes my Mac, and hates my PC

As mentioned in another one of my threads, I am having a problem with my Internet.

For a while now, I've been having problems successfully connecting to the internet on my PC. The PC connects fine to my router, and normally has a 4/5 bar on it. Sometimes a page wouldn't load or it would take ages or whatever. It gradually got worse and it got to the point where I tried formatting the PC. Even though it was all fresh, the PC still connects to my router fine, yet brings up sod all on browsers, nor will it connect to Windows Live Messenger. I attempted to use Firefox; it brought up Google... and that was it. Won't bring anything up now.

I'm currently at that "start" page in IE7 when you first install it and select your options. It's been loading for about 10 minutes and has only been able to bring up the five icons at the top of the screen.

Despite all of this, my Macbook Pro, which i'm using now, works perfectly with the internet. It's able to load everything, sign into everything, and loads the likes of Youtube videos alot quicker than my PC did when it worked alright.

Originally thinking it was a PC problem, it still persists even after formatting. Does anyone have a clue about what the problem is?

Many thanks

Have you tried just connecting through a wireless or wired connection?

Yeah, was wondering why you had both a wired and wireless connection coming through when only one would be suitable. Personally, I'd opt for the wired connection to the PC.
