Actually I've been on TVF for probably longer than you have.

The fact that you are so defensive lends weight to my mimser postulation.

At no point have I alluded to anything more than a minor breaking of the law (a <10% speed infraction, which is about all I ever do). Unlike you though I stay in the slow lane wherever possible!!

Here's a question for Alexia: if you were knowingly doing 69.98MPH, would you move into the left-hand lane?

Nope. There's no set limit for the lanes of a dual carriageway. If there's someone doing 50 on the inside lane, we'll do 70 on the outside. Simple as. You want to do 80? Go round us. We'll relax safe in the knowledge we won't get our license revoked by plod.

I can't believe people think the law is just a guideline. It's the limit. Want to go 80? Go to a track and work off your aggression for having a small penis there.

Still confused. Are you going round the 50er or just staying on the right hand side after you get past them?

Staying on the right - because we're not getting off at any junction soon, and as we're doing the NSL there is NO need for anyone to get past us.

I'm fast coming to the conclusion that you have a comprehension issue.

You are only supposed to be in an outer lane *at all* if there is nothing to the left of you.

I say again, if the overtaking car was capable of getting past you without forcing you to brake, then there was indeed enough space on the left and you should have been there, whether or not there was a BMW on the outside catching you up.

The same could be said for the Beemer of course, and I'm not saying for one minute that he was in the right, but that doesn't give you the right to stubbornly (and illegally) hog a piece of tarmac that you have no right to be on.

It's generally acceptable to bend the rules a little if you are the only car in the overtaking lane for miles around, but you weren't and therefore it isn't. Simple as that.

Well then I rest my case -- you, sir, are a road hog and a member of a group who is responsible for countless accidents.

Simply put, by your own terms you are a bad driver.

OK Fuck you. It is easier, better and safer to drive in a straight line in lane two rather than going IN OUT IN OUT of slower moving traffic in lane one. You just want to drive fast and, in my opinion, by admitting freely to breaking the law, driving fast and berating me for choosing to stay at 70, are not worthy of my time. Fuck off.

In the eyes of the law there is no fundamental difference between the right-hand lane on a DC and that on a SC (i.e. the lane for the traffic coming the other way).

If there is nothing coming for miles ahead, by your reckoning it is acceptable to sit on the right hand side of the road at 60mph, preventing others from undertaking you.
