Isn't it because he thinks he's an amazing designer?

Glad I'm not the only one who is less than impressed with Martin flooding the rebrand thread with shit mock-ups. Most of them resemble a very bad Windows GUI.

It's because Martin has some misguided belief that he is the chosen one, the one who can visualise EXACTLY what other people are thinking... in the form of a News 24 mock, that is.

Yes, it's pissing me off too.

I love the chosen one, loving him is fun fun fun (etc.)

I find the second-guessing of everything tedious also. Little wonder that people are are unwilling to come forward as BBC employees.

Just to offer an alternative point of view... Do keep in mind that because mdta posted those mocks, we did have someone come forward to confirm that blue wasn't going to be used on screen, and more significantly, that the straps and ticker etc wouldn't be changing all that much. Even if mtda had posted those images to the Mock Designs forum (which I absolutely accept is the appropriate place for them), I'm not sure that information would have been forthcoming. Given all the endless speculation, sometimes it is handy to have specific aspects to focus on so that more facts can be revealed.

Isn't it nice though to leave some things up to the actual day? No point tuning in if you already know exactly what's happening, and having it lynched (it can feel like that at times) out of various insiders can be a little tedious to wade through.

I may be wrong though - aren't symlinks to directories treated as a folder in the file system's hierarchy?
