I watched this yesterday and today. It awakens a yearning desire in me to uproot and live the country bumpkin, self sufficient lifestyle someday in the not too distant future.
I'm new to watching these property programmes. Its just that i never got to find out which property the housebuyers eventually went for. Do they do follow ups to these programmes to see how the new homeowners settled in?

I dislike the woman on that. And the theme music.

Are you thinking of Catherine Gee? I'm with you on both counts. But they've changed hosts, music and graphics on this series, so it's not nearly as annoying. There's still an inordinate amount of dithering going on, which you don't seem to get from Phil & Kirsty.

Ah, good. I didn't know they'd done that. I might have another watch, it might be bearable.

Every time I hear the sting of the original theme music that they play between sections of that programme, I start singing the theme from Only Fools and Horses, "No income tax, no VAT.......".

See if you do it too, now I've planted the idea in your mind.

These shows would be a whole lot more interesting, if they had a contractual obligation to buy one of the homes at the end of the programme.

Is this a programme for rich b'stards or something? Yesterday they had a budget of £600,00 squid and todays budget is £800,000. Do they cater for pauper contestants?
