Wait, you mean you don't personally deliver the items yourself? I assumed it was a santa claus-like operation!

Sssh, don't need rumours like that getting out.
Everything I say is sarcastic to some extent. Everything.

This all sounds very familiar. I was actually browsing for info on this kind of thing when I found this forum; so I guess it's not all bad :P

I ordered a Sony video mp3 player from Play.com on the 22nd of last month. They posted it on the 23rd, using Parcelforce 24. I decided to track said parcel when it hadn't turned up by Monday this week...and according to the (rather rubbish) tracking deelie on the Parcelforce site, it had been 'Out for delivery' since the 28th.

Eventually, I found the number for my local depot, and the woman informed me oh-so-graciously that she couldn't find my parcel. Nice. So I called Play, and the bloke there was more than happy to kick some Parcelforce butt on my behalf.

With a bit of luck, I should get a replacement within 5 days. I'm not holding my breath though...

When I get something delieved by Royal Mail Special Delivery (before 12 delivery) - it turns up around 4pm....

All sounds well and good they deliver to NI the next day, however, as it's supposed to be before 12, if you check the tracking ID on the website shortly after 12, you find out it's been signed for by the delivery driver to ensure they don't miss their targets.

You ring Royal Mail asking where it's at, they won't do anything as they say it's been delivered. Any wonder no one has faith in them!
