I was away, apologies. OTP's oft-heard meandering whine about the internet and how nobody plays nice due to the wall of anonymity and would get you assaulted if that person was there (and somehow the issue is us?) and other sweeping generalisations based on personal thought is nice. Nice but I cannot be bothered with because whilst it's a nearly true commentary it's also one which raises the question "if you're so disliked and don't like it anyway, why bother?" which never really gets answered satisfactorily due to OTP's own moral superiority or other little foible.
Not all the way the bitchy "you're a fucking idiot, OTP" response you may have been fishing for but really, I'd have thrown my coffee at you had you said that to me in a café.

I agree about the spelling & grammar bit - punishing people for spelling & grammar is really harsh, you have to remember that most people have lives & might be in a hurry meaning they don't have time to check spelling & grammar?itsrobert wrote:I agree that Requests needs sorting out but the stuff about poor spelling and grammar seems a bit harsh. Not everyone is good at that and it shows no toleration of members with conditions like dyslexia. Being punished for that is a bit harsh, in my opinion.
Oh, that's itching for a dressdown.Jeffmister wrote:I agree about the spelling & grammar bit - punishing people for spelling & grammar is really harsh, you have to remember that most people have lives & might be in a hurry meaning they don't have time to check spelling & grammar?
Was the 'Zero Tolerance Week' actually Bail's idea? He is the newest moderator as far as I know. Asa 'owns' the forum. So why didn't Asa make the announcement? Why has Bail been put in a position where he's now got to take all the flack for the idea?
Indeed and in the last week or so you seem to have reverted to type too, rather disappointing actually Shaun.onetrickpony wrote:
I've been guilty of trying to provoke members, being a troll etc. But as i've grown up i realise that there is more to life. People need to remember rules are there for a reason. So maybe it has to work both ways, members start behaving themselves, and the mods start doing there jobs a bit better in getting rid of the people who just cause trouble and flood the forums with rubbish.
I await either a ban, killing, or yet another bitchy "look at me im intelligent twit" comment.

Talking in teh txt speak is only really appropriate when it's with people happy to put up with it. Most of the time they aren't.

Did you read Bail's post in the other forum properly before going off on one?Nick Harvey wrote:I note that there is now a discussion in this "Zero Tolerance" thread on TV Forum about me having an outstanding warning, yet the the thread has now been locked, making me unable to defend myself.
I wish to make it completely clear that my last warning was on Monday 28th January and remind everyone that warnings on TV Forum automatically expire after 30 days, SO THERE IS NOTHING OUTSTANDING AGAINST ME AS AT TODAY.
An apology from the staff of TV Forum would be both welcome and unexpected.
...there's a comma between stating that yourself and Hyma were warned for the 'death thread', and two people currently have warnings for 'general trolling'. Whilst I can see how someone might misread it as by chance two people currently have warnings, Bail didn't say who the two people currently with warnings are.Bail via TVForum wrote:I don't think Gavin has ever been warned, Hyma and Nick were over the "death thread" if I recall, but again theres only 2 people who are currently on in the "hall of shame" and thats for general trolling.
For reference Bail's reply (quoted above) appears to have been in response to...
