I logged onto MSN just a few minutes ago, and thought some bad news was about to be bestowed upon me. For some reason, I mistakenly thought Grindon had changed his screen name to "R.I.P. Mr Harvey x" - indicating that one of Metropol's best loved contributors had passed on.
Fortunately, I the screen name belonged to someone else not connected with this site and on further inquiry, it turns out that this particular 'Mr Harvey' was a hamster.
It was about 3 seconds of shock thinking that Lord Harvey of Devizes had passed on. Anyone else had something similar happen before? Clicking onto a news website or reading the first line of an e-mail and mis-reading it?
If you saw this thread and thought "Oh noes! The Harvester is dead!" then you kinda know my reaction when I looked on MSN!

What a boring and banal thread. I'd lock and remove it if I could be bothered to face the enormous moan from Jamez that such an action would entail. God forbid I move his fucking thread about shit.
Why not start a thread on wanking next? Or when everyone first discovered they were gay?

Are you on your period?
Oh and I LOVE that picture. I can even date it: 11 May 2001!

When John Major stopped leading the Tories, there was a story about the Queen at the same time, meaning one newspaper had the words 'I QUIT AS LEADER' next to a huge unrelated picture of her Majesty. Being a kid it took me a long time before I realised the Queen wasn't abdicating.
This thread title did indeed worry me at first, I should have realised it was a Major Setup!
