Absolutely.

It makes much more sense to me that a new tab opened is at the end of the row of tabs so you can find it easily, rather than jammed in next your current tab.

Just change the settings : Tools > Internet Options > Tab Settings and untick 'Open new tabs next to the current tab'

I have a custom MSStyle desktop theme, which completely removes the tabs from IE. It's pissing annoying.

As Firefox is the bastard son of Netscape, I know which one I prefer.

Actually the fact that new tabs are opened next to the parent page is really nice IMO. It means all the tabs are nicely grouped rather than the random mess as in Firefox. Plus it means that the opened tab is just the next Ctrl+Tab along.

I find IE has much better control over tabs available, for example I like how new tabs can open my home page because quite often I like doing searches in a new tab and google is my homepage. And the way IE7 can re-open your tabs if you close an IE session with lots of them open is nice and like a quick'n'dirty session saver - I use that almost every day actually
