I feel compelled to tell you all that I've been watching this guy's show online for a while now and I really am starting to think he's one of the fabbest american comedians/satirists/entertainers that I've ever seen. I squealed at his attempt to become president then had gaspies the other day when he did a duet of "the girl is mine" with John Legend, complete with Macca's 80s outfit from the record cover. It's SO MUCH FABBER than the Daily Show, which is just a bit too self-congratulatory in a serious way, whereas his show is self-congratulatory in a genuinely funny way. And he seems frickin' intelligent to boot.
Anyway, yes, zuffling complete.
Stephen Colbert
I have no idea, probably not all that well. I think Colbert has broader appeal as there seem to be fewer american references and more emphasis on the character. The Comedy Central website's really very good. You get pretty much the entire episode (although it's interjected with adverts for grotesquely unhealthy food) in reasonable quality.
Knight knight
I'm inclined as I usually watch The Colbert Report by more arr methods to ask if they advertise pancake sausages.Sput wrote:You get pretty much the entire episode (although it's interjected with adverts for grotesquely unhealthy food) in reasonable quality.
As for Colbert, fuck yes he's very good but sadly Stewart's somewhat self-effacing style wins out for me. How much fabber though can be measured like how you can measure air or a piece of string.
First saw Stephen Colbert on Whose Line US? He's rather good at what he does. I too watch his show online, and find it hilarious.
Good news regarding The Colbert Report in the UK. FX are apparently picking up the rights...
