Maybe it's to do with people growing up, moving on and generally not giving a toss about television. I can honestly say that I haven't sat down and watched TV for several months. Anything I do watch is either on YouTube or the BBC's I-Player. The latter only occasionally.

Perhaps one day, maybe even this summer, we should organise a Metropol Meet. It would be a very interesting experience to meet other forum members in person. I suspect I'll be meeting Mr Harvey before the year is out anyway.
Oh. I would have thought you'd met Nick already.

There is a Metromeet scheduled - but I only invited people who think we are in the ascendant.

There's a separate Metromingle for those who think the site has, "had is day" in Bognor.

Mmm, in the eloquent words of George V: "Bugger Bognor".

Actually, I must admit I cheated and put the browser window across two adjacent multiple monitors. But it cetainly made the point better :)

The problem still exists on anything above 1024/768 which is really archaic.

IIRC, all previous metromeets failed because the inevitable argument of "should it happen in the north or south of England" took place. Are we really that divided :(

I don't know anything about this England lark. The Metromeet is in Edinburgh.

I'm on 1024x768, and it does me fine...sorta. Wish I could have slightly more pixels when watching things like YouTube but overall I think its a happy medium.

Tsk, Edinburgh is just the North of England.

No darling, it is "North Britain", as dubbed by Queen Victoria herself. The hotel at Edinburgh's Waverly station is called the North British for that very reason.

*FACT ATTACK* They tried changing it to the "New Balmoral", but the name didn't stick, so then they changed it to the "NB" - but most people understand that to mean "North British" - so they needn't have bothered changing it at all.

*FACT ATTACK II* The sixth floor of that hotel used to be where Iraq was governed from.

So there.

Christ, what did Iraq do to be governed in the attic of a crappy city that's the capital of nothing more than a province?!
