I use a Mac at work (which I hate) but Office 2008 has actually made me like it a little bit. It's vastly superior to Windows Office 2007 in many ways.

The interface - done much better than 2007. It's ribbon-meets-iWork, and it's a joy to work with.

Excel is vastly improved - Excel 2008 is easily the best spreadsheet software ever released. It's quicker and easier than ever to make a good spreadsheet and chart, and I can waste hours tweaking my charts to make them look cool.

PowerPoint '08 - it puts the Power back in PowerPoint. Presentations look even better made on this than they do on 2007.

I don't use Entourage as the Mail software that comes with the Mac is easier to set up.

No, this isn't an ad and I wasn't paid to shill for it. I just like it, and suggest that our resident Mac-lovers get it.

Pictures shamefully stolen from Wikipedia.

Thanks for your worthless insight which revealed next to nothing. I'll see how Office 2008 plays next week but I probably will only find real use for Excel and Entourage, iWork covers much of the rest.
Everything I say is sarcastic to some extent. Everything.

Office 2007 works fine for me. Just a shame that they didn't make all the components with the Ribbon interface.

Using a phrase like
puts the Power back in PowerPoint
immediately renders anything you have to say void.

Brilliant, thanks for clearing that up. I can now read it, as that was the only flaw.

The most fatal flaw of all is the fact that your posts appear on my screen every day.

Shush slaggy. There's only so much unintended irony I can take from one person.
