I have a question.
Normally, acronyms are pluralised by putting an "s" on the end: CDs, DVDs etc. This matches their expanded form: Compact Discs, etc.
However, what about acronyms where the expanded form is pluralised on a word that isn't the last word? e.g. Points of Interest. How is the acronym pluralised there? POIs or PsOI?

A good example of an acronym could be the Tunbridge Wells Angling Team.nodnirG kraM wrote:I am aware of what they stand for, thank you; they are not "acronyms" though. They are abbreviations or initialisms.
An acronym is an abbreviation that can be pronounced as a word in its own right. BBC for example is not pronounced "Buh-buh-kuh", therefore it is not an acronym. CD is not pronounced "Kuh-Duh" so it too is not an acronym.

Ronnie is victorious, vivacious in victory like a venomous dog. Vile Republicans cease living while the religious retort with rueful rhetoric. These rank thugs resort to violence and swear revenge.
But Ronnie can punch through steel so they lose anyway.
