Speaking of people in media who consistently make a prat of themselves, our very own James Martin has just posted this gracious remark on the group.
Putting Hymagumba in charge on Metropol is like putting Steve McLaren in charge of Manchester United.
Whatever our personal relationship, we all can recognise how much effort Pete has put into this site recently.
Facebook Group
I commend Pete for the amount of work he's done (with Gav) on Metropol. It now looks very pretty and is far mroe functional than it used to be.
I know people like James Martin. They are inadequate and don't fit in anywhere, so they try to slag off the people who are in power to make them look smart. Trouble is JM just ends up looking like a moron either way you go about it.

I would like to re-quote this post due to its phenomenal importance
However I say the second half of that sentence should be reversed rather than the first half since I don't care what he says or does on that sleazy *NON-HYMA-SANCTIONED* group. I'm sick of not dishing on him. There's only so much self-restraint I can take!Jovis wrote:He can't have both his say and a ban on us having our say on him.

Maybe it's you, Peter, that created the profile.
There's plenty of things that can be said about Simon, but don't go using comparatives with the disabled to make your point, please.
adj.
1. Of, relating to, or characterized by spasms: a spastic colon; a spastic form of cerebral palsy.
2. Affected by spastic paralysis.
3. Offensive Slang Clumsy or inept.
There you will find my meaning. It was meant to be offensive, but not to disabled people.
Instead of immediately clambering upon your high horse and galloping to the top of Moral Hill, please bother to check out updated meanings and phrases in the dictionary.
However, it's obviously much easier and sensationalist for you to tap-out a knee-jerk response denouncing me as a bigot.

Oh, so you think Luxton is clumsy? Rather rubbish bit of back-peddling there, Jamez.

And so by some bizarre coincidence, the word that you thought summed him up was one that also refers to a disability. Weird eh!Jamez wrote:Inept more than clumsy.all new Phil wrote:Oh, so you think Luxton is clumsy? Rather rubbish bit of back-peddling there, Jamez.
I couldn't think of a suitable adjective for "incomprehensibly bizarre".
Surely weirdo would have done the trick?
In retrospect, you're probably right, yes.all new Phil wrote:And so by some bizarre coincidence, the word that you thought summed him up was one that also refers to a disability. I was quite annoyed with Hymatosser for implying that I had something to do with creating fake profiles, so my comment flew off my keyboard in a moment of annoyance.

spastics and luxton aside, I also would agree with JM removed from the facebook group, I don't really see the point of the group with him as a member aside from it being "JM's way to slag us again after he ballsed up his last two returns"
"He has to be larger than bacon"

Bullshit. How many dictionaries did you trawl through for that?Jamez wrote:Instead of immediately clambering upon your high horse and galloping to the top of Moral Hill, please bother to check out updated meanings and phrases in the dictionary.
I use http://cambridge.dictionary.org
spastic
adjective
1 OLD-FASHIONED suffering from cerebral palsy (= a condition of the body which makes it difficult to control the muscles)
2 INFORMAL an offensive way of saying 'stupid', used especially by children
It might look like I'm talking down to you from the top of Moral Hill, but if you insist on slumming around in Gutter Lane then it's no wonder you're losing perspective.
I'm consistent in my approach to this type of behaviour and comment. If you don't want to be reprimanded then don't do it.
Yes, because you'd never do a thing like that, would you?Jamez wrote:I was quite annoyed with Hymatosser for implying that I had something to do with creating fake profiles, so my comment flew off my keyboard in a moment of annoyance.
