You make the mistake of assuming that I believe your opinion is relevant, important or meaningful.

Actually - good tip here folks - this is the cheapest time of year to go - no guarantee of pleasant weather, kids back in school, tight bank accounts following Xmas, etc.... for 8 people sharing a "Comfort" villa, it's £450. The lot.

Of course each additional activity you participate in has a price (more or less reasonable), and it's self catering but you've sorted that out by doing that enormous, pointless pre-Xmas nibbles and bits shopping trip.

Too late to try flattering me now Phil! Sput is a far sexier victim for my stalking once again :D

Probably.
All signs point to yes, Gavin.
Everything I say is sarcastic to some extent. Everything.

Oh no! That's a bit close!

If you see a brown chap, leg at each corner, tail at the back, walking down the track from Heaven's Gate car park to Shearwater, just outside the perimiter fence, then the bloke behind him will be me.

Is that a good car park for dogging?
Sounds more like a place for mass suicide

Which in turn reminds me of TV Forum.

That's about 100 yards from where my villa is situated! I may finally get to see God!

Right fellahs and fellahrettes, I'm off at midday and as I've just come off me last night shift for a week I'm bedding down for a couple of hours. Catch you next weekend, be good everyone!

And the first award in 2009 for dragging up a thread from WAY back in time goes to.....ME.

And looking back through it, it's refreshingly depressing to note Sput and Stu going at it, even this time last year. And on a more poignant note, seeing Nick refer to the dear departed brown chap with a leg at each corner.

At least this year I'm not drinking John Smiths thanks to the 24 bottles of VB I ordered off t'internet.

To the topic in hand however....I bring it up for two reasons: 1 - I'm off once again to the middle-class utopia that is Longleat on Monday; this time for the first time with the fiancee in tow as well as the family, an unhealthy amount of Christmas leftover snackage, and - since being back on day work - a normal sleep schedule.

2 - it's odd to think that the above posts were made exactly 12 months ago, whereas to me I can remember making them yesterday. A reminder time really is flying. Mostly because I threw my clock out of the window.

Has anyone else got any winter holiday plans, or has anyone else been to Center Parcs since we rabbited on about it a year and a leap second ago?
