Hoorah! Tis my last day at work today before a nice two week break, the start of which has perfectly coincided with the start of a cold. But anyhoo, what are fellow forumers doing over the Christmas holidays?

Every other year we have the extended family to mine. Luckily it's my year off so I'm looking forward to a nice peaceful, chilled-out Christmas, drinks and meals with friends, and generally chillaxing my socks off. Although I have already written off tomorrow to the evil clutches of Lord Hangover.

New Years Eve I'm having a wee party which should be fun, without too many iffy pictures working their way on to Facebook.

I'll be doing the usual for NYE: In the cupboard with a telly and a bottle of lambrini.

This is likely to be my last post before the big day, so I'd like to say a big Happy Christmas to all Metropol-ers, sane or otherwise.

I have my last two nights in work tonight and tomorrow night (spending tomorrow at the missus') and Xmas Eve I shall be burning a hole in my already fragile bank account in the local ale house. For Xmas itself I will be with the family up a valley somewhere.

Hope everyone takes care of themselves and I look forward to conversing with you all again sometime soon.

Season's Greetings.

I am back with the folks in Norn Irn for Christmas, enjoying it all so far and not trying to end up being bored sitting around at home all day long.

It's gonna be a nice Christmas for us as it's my nephew's first one too. Finished present shopping and wrapped my gifts for others today.

At CDDs request, this is now the OFFICIAL Christmas thread. Merry Christmas everyone. I'm on the Champers, playing with my new iPod, and running back and forth to the kitchen! What did everyone get?

EDIT: It looks like CDD has deleted his post, unless I'm going mad and it was never there...

I got my fabulous Elemis skin care set, an electric mini chopper/food-processor for the kitchen (ideal for making pesto - something I apparently said I wanted at the start of the year), a rather nifty pocket DV camera which records to SD cards and a box set of the Good Life.

A nice haul considering I wasn't expecting much if anything this year.

Am typing from my mother's laptop which I'm about to password protect because my little cousin keeps butchering it.
