By all means shoot me down if this is a complete waste of time, and accept my sincerest apologies.

Personally I quite like the status updates on Facebook/Myspace etc. For all those not lucky enough to know what this is, it's simply a way to keep your friends, fellow forum users in this case, up to date on what you're doing, thinking, or feeling at any given time. It works in the format of "So-in-so is...."

For this to work, best keep it less conversational and more status-updatey in format. I suppose I better start, so here's my current Facebook one.

RTS is wondering if The Fray can release a song where they don't just whine their way through 3 minutes of my life.

I like facebook. I reluctantly joined up because it seems to be the only social networking site people talk about (in the UK at least).

It managed to find you (Row) from an association with someone else, hence the add the other day.

I noticed your "wasting 3 minutes of my life" thingy too.

I must find out how the site works properly and write something, er, meaningful.

Does anyone use Twitter? I think it's fantastic. Especially as you can embed the code on your site but without Twitter branding in text only format.
