I've only ever *heard* the machine about three times, once after it had been on non-stop for two weeks, another time because premiere pro had a fit, and the other time because it needed a quick dusting inside. Although the amazing removable, washable dust filter made that a breeze
Any advice for a new build PC?
My current PC has an antec silent case, its the most amazing thing I've ever bought.

I was going from a cost-saving approach. Quality + higher capacity = more expensive of courseNeil Jones wrote:These days its not the output of the PSU you need to worry about as such, its more the brand and its output on certain rails. You can never have too much output though so a 650w provides upgrade routes later on - the computer just won't use the extra power until its needed.Sput wrote:You can probably get away with a less powerful PSU too. You're not really running masses of hardware - maybe 500 or 550
They did have an iffy period last year (not just in my personal experience with 3 duffers) as they started using nasty capacitors. That might be sorted now of course.Antec produce nice PSU which are worth the money.
