There's a wedding reception going on near me. And they're letting off fireworks. Oh my if only they knew how appropriate it is. Through their marriage sparks will fly and there will be more fireworks in a year of marriage than gunpowder that Guy Fawkes was gonna use to blow up parliament with in one night. Call me cynical, but i say the love between 2 people is stonger than any legal document. Everything goes tits up once its all legal.

Ah but if it's stronger than a document how can a document make it go tits up?

I'm philosophical this evening.

We've had similar round here this evening.

Poor old brown chap's been cowering on 'er indoors' lap for most of the time.

Anyone who lets off fireworks, except betweem 7.15pm and 7.30pm on November 5th ought to be shot, in my opinion.

I know they changed the law years ago about when fireworks could be sold, so presumably these people hoard them until the required date.

My mutt Oscar also suffers whenever fireworks are about. He's terrified by them, shakes for hours afterwards and usually ends up making a mess on the carpet when I'm not looking. New Years Eve is a nightmare, I haven't been able to go out for years until about 2am because it's cruel to leave him alone when he is so frightened.

They should be banned apart from public displays (we have the National Firework Competition here in Plymouth, it was the other week, it's amazing)
