When I was 20 I was in my 2nd year of uni for half the year, then in my 3rd year of uni for the other half. And although I can remember what I did on my 18, 19, 21st, 22nd, 23rd and 24th, I can't for the life of me think what I actually did on my 20th.

goodness. The members on here really older than i imagined. Next you'll be telling me that TVMercia is in his 50s and not 17 ( i'm being kind) like i've always imagined. Mind you if TVM is in his 50's it would explain why he's a moany git.

Did ya know that you don't get another year older, you get another year wiser.

Oh yeah, when I was 20, in August something called Metropol started to replace the TV Forum lounge and I joined that. There we go, I did something that year.

I got there in June. Definitely makes you go, "oh, crud." Well, it did me, anyway.

I turned twenty during my first few months on TVF... I found twenty to be an odd age - you're kind of in limbo, no longer a teenager, but somehow not quite considered a proper adult.

On the other hand, I thought that being twenty-one was great. People harp on about wanting to be eighteen again, but I'd far rather go back to twenty-one. Was in a much happier place at twenty-one than at eighteen.
What the fuck is a samoflange?

Yeah, I have to agree that the biggest non-event of my life was being 20. Nothing at all positive happened during it, I still, even after several hours down the pub to think about it, can't remember what I did on my 20th bday.

21 I did love to pieces. I was finally a proper adult, and as a year it went pretty well, down to me ending it on a note of starting my teacher training and generally doing quite well.

22 I could live with, holding onto the thought that I was 21 last year, but my 'oh shit' moment for me must have been turning 23, when I realised that I was now a proper adult, and there was no going back to being a yoof. I'm now just about surviving being 24, with some refusal to accept that I'm getting older (like taking my summer holiday this year at Butlin's)

And frankly, once I become an old fart like you Kat, I don't know what I'll do :D

Many happy returns for your 20th!!

I had a big party down my local, and cut my head on the door as I left the pub.

Honestly Kat. Zimmer frames are sooo yesterday!!
I'm going for one of those battery scooters and then soup it up. I'll put a hood onnit too so i can go out in the rain. Then you can knock those yoofs down like skittles.

I seem to remember a sketch on BBC THREE a while back which showed some geriatrics doing a "smash and grab" raid on their local supermarket in those motorised carts (all wearing hoodies of course). I'll be doing that before you! :o
