The recent influx of trolls (and trolls disguised as users like Ron Whatshisname and 'Kempy') makes me think this place needs a new mod. Fab tho' Gav is he can't keep his eye on this place 24))7 (as the name suggests) and with Martin gone and the other two moderators hardly ever posting here anymore, it would make sense to have at least one extra mod selected.

Gavin please could you select someone(s)? :)

Well my vote would be for Hyma, as acerbic as his wit may be (and annoying at times to some) he would sort the wheat from the chaff.

I think Hyma hasn't got the right attributes of character for the job personally - sorry mate but the power would go to your head I think.

Obviously the choice of 'whether and who' remains Gavin's, but I have made a poll of the Top 5 taken from the the list of Top Posters (in descending order) who are not currently moderators and remain active posters on the forum... maybe to give some idea of what people want (and to create the illusion that Metropol is a democracy!)

Yes, I know the list is most unfair.

Just for reference, whilst I have removed the spam posts such as the porno links I am not willing to do actual "moderating" stuff as I only have access to the control panel for the purposes of keeping the database tidy and the on-going upgrade.

Unless Gavin actually asks me to do such things I would not feel comfortable abusing power like that.

Metropol does definitely need a new moderator. I wouldn't mind any of the people on the list becoming a moderator. With the likes of Ron Owen, Tumble Tower and ILIKESTUFFANDSTUFFSGOODIHOPEYOUAGREE (aka Bob Bones) spamming the forum with their crap threads which have no real purpose or their general abusive drivel. ILIKESTUFFANDSTUFFSGOODIHOPEYOUAGREE is the worst out of the three though - are they a bot?
