Apple Safari for Windows
This is the best thing ever. Erm..

Has a single person managed to install it without any fuckuppery?
Oh, and Bonjour appears to be some sort of completely redundant service which seems to think its simplifying access to network shares or some shite. It wasn't particularly complicated to start with.

Okay, so I've just downloaded and installed Safari.
The first thing is that the text is very odd. Anti-aliased in the extreme. It also does not have my Firefox features such as StumbleUpon or the useful status bar at the bottom of the window.
I am writing this using Safari, and it will be interesting to see how well it copes with posting text.
Oh, and here's a smiley... just to make sure that basic javascripting works:

I doubt it will ever be fixed. We've been waiting three years for a simple icon to appear at the top of the page when we have new private messages. It'll probably never happen.

Oh, and I must be the only one who hasn't had any kind of fuck-up. It installed quickly and without fuss. It opened instantly and even managed to import my bookmarks without issue.
The only thing I don't like is the actual appearance of Safari. It's too dark compared to Firefox and its lovely shade of light grey.

what a horris little piece of software.
The font smoothing is bizzare and ugly, random fonts become bold ruining layout, and the entire interface is strange and maclike.
iTunes on windows may look like a mac app but the controls are at least windows controls with a skin. This whole using mac style menus and not having OK/Cancel buttons on the preferences is very alien to windows users.
I'm surprised at this, I really am. Mac apps are always dodgy on windows, QuickTime being the ultimate port of horridness. However this takes the biscuit.

CTRL + / to turn on the status bar. Don't know why it's off by default.Jamez wrote:the useful status bar at the bottom of the window
