Blocking SMS

My old Samsung D600 had a clever little feature that allowed me to block certain mobile phone numbers from sending me text messages. Now, i've changed to a Nokia N73, and sadly, it hasn't got this feature.

I've had to use a trial on some Symbian software called SMS Spam Manager. It blocks texts going into my inbox, but after testing, turns out it will only do that. I'll still get the message, I just have to check on the programs log to see them, therefore not actually BLOCKING the text. The sender also receives a delivery report.

Does anybody know of a way I can completely block mobile phone numbers from texting my phone? Thanks.

Flush the thing down the toilet. I guarantee it'll then receive no further texts that you'll be able to read.

Hmmm. I sense something is now wrong with Nick's humour since it no longer exists to be funny...

Contact your mobile phone provider.
Or alternatively, turn it off. :)

Of course there is nothing to say you actually have to read text messages! You can simply delete them if they are from someone you don't wish to communicate with.

If your phone rings - you may also find it possible NOT to answer it.

You obviously didn't watch the film Phone Booth.

I did, not a very good film at all. Are you being telephoned by a sniper? Do you keep seeing a red laser aim mark appearing on your body or did you simply spill some of the tomato ketchup when devouring a Cheeseburger
