"No Smoking Allowed"

"Smoking Allowed Throughout"

"Smoking in Designated Areas Only".

It's not that complicated.
And how is that any different to the situation pre-legislation?
You asked how that would work, I just gave an example.

Interesting to note that one of the places Westminster wanted an exemption was in the bar of the Houses of Paliament.

Typical.

Give it a couple of years and you will be banned from smoking while driving. If you're caught, it will be a similar punishment to that of using a mobile phone.

I renewed my car insurance a couple of weeks ago, and while phoning round for a cheaper quote, I was asked if I was a smoker. I replied no, and then asked why. The woman on the phone said that some companies are now trying to build up a profile of their potential customers before generating a quote.

That annoyed me and I promptly hung up. I eventually went back to my local insurance broker who got me a good deal with Fortis.

I know someone who drives lorries from wales to Birmingham, and he can't smoke in the lorry, but as soon as he drives into Birmingham, he can smoke all he wants :P
Ronnie is victorious, vivacious in victory like a venomous dog. Vile Republicans cease living while the religious retort with rueful rhetoric. These rank thugs resort to violence and swear revenge.

I'd say it's more dangerous than using a mobile phone, it's certainly more dangerous than not smoking while driving so I can understand why insurance companies ask - it's certainly a more relevant question than what you do for a living. While we're on the subject, can I just politely ask people who do smoke while driving to use the fucking ashtrays and not throw burning embers out the window while I'm behind you on a motorbike. Thank you.

Someone I know had a friend who had a cigarette butt chucked out out someone's car window land on their back seat and set fire to paperwork. The ashtrays are there for a reason- why do people insist on flicking ash and chucking butts out the window? Something like that could easily turn nasty.

No, they'll probably ban it for the reasons marksi pointed out.

Is there something you wish to know, my son?

Is that just a poor picture in your avatar, or are you really seven, going on eight?

Also ironic that his name is more suited to someone several decades older.

Who calls their child 'Ronnie' nowadays?

Indeed.

I was reminded of Spitting Image and The President's Brain is Missing.
