Dial-up internet in france
Hi all, the situation is that i am stranded in france for the next week... With nothing but a phone line! I have had a quick search on the net which proved fruitless:-( all the pages are in French, for one thing. So, I was wondering if any of you knew of a french PAYG ISP I could connect to for my daily fix! It's easy to find this for the UK but not so easy for france. Please? Thanks, Chris
But.. how do you post this if you cant.. what...
Not sure how good this is/isn't but http://www.magic.fr/acces/rtcnumeris.php seems like the kind of thing your after, might be worth using bablefish on it.

I haven't gone there yet!Bail wrote:But.. how do you post this if you cant.. what...

Thanks - that looks particularly promising, especially the "ACCÈS GRATUIT DIAL UP" bit!Not sure how good this is/isn't but http://www.magic.fr/acces/rtcnumeris.php seems like the kind of thing your after, might be worth using bablefish on it.
Presumably there is nothing to stop you using a UK dial-up service number, but I wouldn't like to have your phone bill afterwards.
Surely they have internet cafes, and most hotels provide broadband access (for a price).
Better still, chat up some french chick (or guy) who has broadband and install yourself in their home for the duration!

Not my bill, so I don't need to worry.StuartPlymouth wrote:Presumably there is nothing to stop you using a UK dial-up service number, but I wouldn't like to have your phone bill afterwards.
And why would I go to an internet cafe when I have a laptop!
Am I really a Potato? *checks himself* - Yup! Complete with two eyes and everything! As for if I'm the Potato you're looking for, well, that's a different pan of water entirely. Check your PM'sSput wrote:POTATO! is it really you?!
