I'm capable to get it as well but no mention how to do it.
I really don't like HP, if I can ask Reeves, what HP model have you got?
I have something like Pavillion m7457.uk Media Centre bla bla

Its the m7281.uk. Got it from QVC even though the model has been discontinued. If, by any chance, you are actually capable...Nate J wrote:I'm capable to get it as well but no mention how to do it.

QVC is hardly the place to go for cutting edge technology.Reeves wrote:Its the m7281.uk. Got it from QVC even though the model has been discontinued. If, by any chance, you are actually capable...Nate J wrote:I'm capable to get it as well but no mention how to do it.

We've been here before - when Windows 95 was released an awful lot of actively used PCs didn't even meet it's minimum supported specification, an awful lot more only barely ran it, and countless 286-class machines (still popular for non-multimedia budget machines right up to 1992/3 as Windows 3.1 ran fine on them) suddenly found themselves completely obsoleted and beyond upgrading even though the computer may only have been 2 years old.I just don't understand why Windows Vista has such outrageous memory requirements. 90% of people won't be able to upgrade and get a good experience. I mean, what does it do, that Windows XP doesn't, that requires so much extra memory that only TODAY'S top of the line computers can handle it? isn't that mad for an OS, which is supposed to be a platform for programs rather than a resource-intensive program of its own?
Windows XP has now been the current version of Windows for over 5 years and yet Vista continues to slip back and still has no firm release date - if it gets delayed much past easter they may well end up going for an August launch - by which time XP will only be 2 months short of completing it's 6th year of being current. Hanging around for all this time means that people no longer feel as pressured to upgrade their computers as regularly as they were in the second half of the 90's and it is entirely possible that, just as in 1995, Microsoft could be about to release an operating system which a huge proportion of the installed user base can't run.
11 years ago they managed to pull it off and people upgraded but it remains to be see whether or not they can do it again.
Ok, I got on this 'moduslink' website where you're supposed to download it, but I'm slightly buggered

Damn. I wish you could sell, lend or transfer the contents of that disc to me, but I suppose you'd better not as it says not to on it.nodnirG kraM wrote:The bloke from DHL just plonked this on my desk.
