I thought it's to do with the cheap lid they provide. Leaking out at the bottom? That's new to me.

Simple solution - don't go to McDonalds. Go somewhere nice instead and buy your drinks in bottles.

Subway is alright for that, depending which one you go to, you can get a Maccies style cup, or you can get a normal 500ml bottle for no extra charge, or whenever the staff don't care or aren't looking that is.

I don't like the soft drink in paper cup.

KFC gives you cans or bottled drink.

Surely if McDonalds changed to plates and mugs / glasses for it's dining in customers it would save a fortune on all the packaging waste they produce.

Ah well, as long as they can keep costs down, that's the main thing. The environment can clearly go bum itself.

Coca-cola is my favorite, but I hate it strongly when it is on my costly and beautiful carpet. Neither I can afford it to stay where it is nor I can clean it. Last time when I did it myself, it got shrunk. I don't want to loose my carpet this time. So please suggest me something. Will vinegar work? Any after effects? Waiting for your reply. Thank you..!!

I strongly recommend white wine for this, possibly mixed with a tiny amount of detergent. Sucks all the discolouring back out.
