The one day in the year 'er indoors slips over and smashes a great section out of the side of the greenhouse!

She'll have to get out there tomorrow afternoon while I'm doing my radio shift.

Hello guys... I've finally decided to join this happy little community!
Anyway, there's not been any snow here in West London yet... they keep changing their minds about when it will happen - and I bet when it does it'll just be one or two flakes!
Anyway - I've been looking at http://www.netweather.tv/index.cgi?action=wisi;sess= as they've got a new Snow Risk calculator on there - at the moment it's saying 92% chance for us tomorrow - so let's hope we get a fair dumping!
It would be good if we had a similar snowfall to that that we had a couple of years ago on 28th January... there was a clap of thunder and then it absolutely chucked it down with snow - of course then it all froze so the streets turned into skating rinks!

Not sure if the grading committee meets on Mondays, so it might be a day or two till you're told if you're welcome.

I haven't brought a cake, but if I could borrow a cup of sugar that would be great!

Hello Newboy!
Yay!! We had a flutter of snow today. It didn't lay though
I love snow, it looks everso pretty. I just don't like the cold that goes with the snow.
Oooh! The forecast for tomorrow. Is significant amounts of snow. Up to at least a couple of inches tomorrow. Bet there will be chaos on the roads tomorrow if thats true. You Norverners don't know how us Suvverners suffer!

Well we had a couple of cm's of snow here in West London overnight - it's melting a bit now though.... but we could be in for a little bit more later today if the forecasts are to be believed.

Okay then folks, so does your local snow pitch, settle, lay or lie?
Or do you have some other word you use to indicate a build-up of the stuff on the ground?
Just thought I'd ask; it could turn into research for an item to appear on 1st February, which I wouldn't dream of plugging in advance.
