Cleaning Coca-Cola from the Carpet

Last night I bought a big mac meal on my way home. I was on my bike so I put the coke in the water bottle holder.

When I got home I had to carry the bike upstairs to my flat. I was a bit pissed. I forgot about the coke.

Result: trail of Coca-Cola all the way up the stairs.

Any recommendations for carpet shampoo?!

Vanish Oxi-clean - the stuff in the pink tub. Mix a little in a big jug with some hot water (leave plenty of room for foam). Put it on the stains and agitate with a nail brush a little. Leave for a few mins before wiping it away and dabbing dry.

It's also fantastic for removing tea stains from mugs.

vanish oxy clean gets nearly everything off, we have also had success with 1001 carpet cleaner, i find it an especially effective way to remove mud that people or the dog traipse in

Those McDonalds drinks cups are totally useless. They spill really easily, particularly in those cardboard drinks holders they give you, and if you don't drink it within an hour it starts leaking out the bottom.

On a similar, drunken issue, the other night i got home from a night out, put a pizza in the oven, went and led on the sofa and fell asleep. I slept through the smoke alarms and the house full of smoke, and even my mum shaking me violently saying "what the hell have you done".

While I remember, Mr. Muscle kitchen cleaner is an excellent cure for a red wine stain on a green carpet.

You all seem to have the cola stain sorted out there. The red wine stain i can help with if you was to ever spill it, shame on you if you do though. You should be more careful. If you do happen to spill more than a drop pour white wine on it immediately. Then clean it up as you would normally, with vanish or 2001 carpet cleaner.

I do that on a regular basis. I have cremated pizzas and some garlic bread in just the last 3 weeks.

Paint the carpet black.

Tippex works well I always find.

But don't use black paint and tippex together, otherwise your carpet will look like a giant panda.
