I love toasting my feet and falling asleep in front of the fire. I also love winter meals, like beef casserole and roast dinners washed down with mulled wine and/or a Brandy and snowball fights. I also like long hot bubbly baths and early nights.

As Summers are becoming more and more unbearable in this country, Winter is becoming preferable. Getting under the Quilt, or putting the heater on, and feeling the comfortable warmth.

i love frosty mornings and evenings and the still cold air.

what i don't like about winter is the dark mornings and evenings, i hate it getting dark at 4:30 - i hardly see any day light during the week.

Why do you have to bring every single conversation down to the level of utter filth, Martin?

Couldn't agree more. I don't mind the cold - it's just the darkness which gets me down. There are some days when the cloud's really heavy when it never seems to get properly daylight.

Having said that, the way everywhere looks generally bleak and devoid of colour doesn't really lift my spirits either.

Give me Spring any day.

I'm more an Autumn fan as it often heralds the return of my old friend...the Autumn trail.
Good Lord!
