Science lectures on TV around Christmas / New year time?

a few years ago i remember watching some random science lectures on tv around this time of the year. i've had a look on the schedules over the next few days and i can't see them - are they still on/made?

I believe they're on five! Saw an advert the other day, it was all about numbers.

i searched c4 and bbc 2 (which i seem to recall was the channel i last watched them on), but they've moved again.

They moved to five last year IIRC and they went a bit more mainstream IMO. They were shown in prime-time and two of the four were shown live with text votes in all of them...

Well it's back with a bang and some crappy generated effects tonight aswell. I really don't find it as good as recent years. Not quite sure why, but I think they've always done proper experiments in the past...
