Creme Eggs.

In Sainsbury's.

In December.

Labelled as 'stocking fillers'.

Bloody hell.

And the new telly thing they've got as you queue

(it's a Local store)

Is bloody awful.

The same song

Came round three times

Whilst I was in the store to buy

Mince Pies.

And humous.

If I worked there

I would want

To top myself.

That is all.

Thank you.

Good day.

I hate those plasma screens in Tesco. They're really annoying.

The small LCD ones in the toiletries section are particularly annoying playing that stupid advert for fusion. And the ones that played the same vodaphone jingle at me 16 times during my trip (I complained to the duty manager, who was also being drivel round the bend by them).

However the worst has to be the ones in the entertainment dept with the cheesy James Martin DJ voice over.

URGH.

I left my wallet on those self service tills the other day, so having cancelled my card I now have no money whatsoever to spend over Christmas.

If you can make your way to Edinburgh I can sub you £100.

You know where I am if you need.

Very kind of you Gavin. Hopefully I won't have to take you up on the offer as Tesco have found my wallet, so I might be able to charm the bank into giving me some cash.

Just take a bank statement and your passport to the bank, that should be enough to withdraw some cash. They might ask you some security questions.
My brother had his card swallowed by the cash machine on Friday, so he was in a similar situation, right before Christmas.

If you think that easter eggs are a bad idea at this time of year...

I ordered some champagne for a party last January for a very famous wine website (think baby Jesus's mother - the (what) Mary) and they got delivered...

TODAY!

Yes, it is the 21st December.

No apology at all. All delivery guy said was that the "Christmas" rush had delayed things.

I did phone the company earlier and was told they would refund my card. The card I used expired in July - will I still get the refund though?

Merry Christmas to you all. I'm off to the Cote d'Azur this year.

I had my card swallowed (through no fault of my own) on my birthday last year. I went into the branch the following morning and they just gave it me back, so at least I didn't have to wait for a replacement. I wrote a stinking letter to the bank to complain that they'd ruined my night out, and I got £50 compo - so it might be worth your brother doing the same thing if the ATM swallowed his card because of a fault!
