All the "I can't believe it's not butter!" etc. wannabes have nothing on the real stuff.

Mmm... heart attack on a slice of toast...

if you were tasked to come up with the most banal topic ever, you would never stoop so low as margarine

i am embarrassed to be a member of this forum.

I used to have Flora Pro-Active, then we switched to Anchor Spreadable once my mum had read an article about why it wasn't very good. Now, as I'm running low, I'm using somebody else's I Can't Believe It's Not Butter. But I also love Philadelphia cream cheese.

I win, cos I don't use spread. I think butter etc ruins the taste of sandwiches.

I of course put butter on toast, but I rarely eat toast.

I know someone who uses dripping.

Isn't one of the fake-butters made with dolphin's head wax, or something?

Why do people say “Quad bike” and “Double prime”—it is like saying a “three-sided square”, oh wait they do, “Tri-square”?!

Lurpak- for mash potato and mashed swede and carrot Whatever happened to Douglas? I loved those ads

Anchor spreadable- for my morning toast with marmite

Flora- For my sarnies..

So what do spread your bread with? Are you health concious or are you a sinner and love real butter?
How absurd, 3 different types of margarine for different foods ?

I look forward to your next topic, Lard : Where do you stand ?
It's your lucky day. Lard; same as Gav great for roast pots and fryups. Terribly unhealthy though. Its also good for frying up a good plate of crispy chips too.
