Bad day

I'm really unhappy today.

I bought a Christmas Toblerone last night and didn't get much change from £4. I didn't intend to be too greedy. I thought I might enjoy a traingle of it after my dinner.

Scotmid had them on a shelf under a fan heater, and the thing has melted into a triangular blob and reset itself. Its grainy and unpleasant, but I tried a piece anyway and promptly pulled a porcelain crown off my tooth.

I have to wait another day before the dentist can see me to rebond it, and to top it all I burst a stich from a minor surgery I had a week ago.

Now I need to go and see a nurse.

I was just really snappy to a colleague who totally didn't deserve it, so I thought I might try to get it out of my system here before apologising and making my way (slowly) home.

This sucks.

Thanks for listening.

Tooth problems cause the worst pain ever! Fortunately, I have never had surgery so wouldnt know what breaking stitches was like. Anyway, you have my sympathy, and I thought I was having a bad day!!!

Fortunately, there isn't much pain involved in the tooth, as I had it root canaled before the crown was fitted - so effectively there aren't any nerves left in it. Its crunching a wobbly though. I havent felt that sensation since I was a kid.

Bursting a stich however is pretty damned painful.

I'm still stuck in the office though, so I'm trying to grin and bear it.

Oooh don't grin too much. If it's anything like the time i lost my crown. It was traumatising. I looked like worzel gummage. I kept my mouth shut until i reached the dentist.
1. Because it was so sensitive. I didn't have a root thingymajiggy.
2. Because i got an appointment the sameday it fell out. So i didn't have to stay quiet for long.
3. My vanity.

It only cost about 30 quid to stick it back on. It was still in one piece and i didn't swallow it. So i didn't have to wait for it to pass through me. Not that i could have had it put back on i had swallowed it.

You can get some temporary dental putty in the chemists to hold it for a day or 2. People use it for when filling fall out too.

You do have to wonder how long it'd be before a "no win, no fee" took on your case though! Probably about 16 seconds
